ABOUT THE INDIE & FOREIGN FILM FESTIVAL
THE INDIE & FOREIGN FILM FESTIVAL was founded in 2014 by Father Julian Jagudilla, Director of the Migrant Center of New York.
The film festival is both entertaining and educational in a way that only films can be.
Originally founded to celebrate and shine a light on the lives of migrants and the experience of migration as see through the eyes of talented directors and producers from around the word.
Today, the mission has expanded to also include compelling stories of connection, community and courage, across all walks of life.
The festival has screened 40 movies, from 10 countries with 15 partners on board.
After 4 successful years, the festival continues
to grow, with additional film categories and
5 nights of screenings to mark it's 5th year.
This year, film makers will be honored on
Friday Oct. 19th, at an Awards Night Reception, with a special award presented by The Migrant Center of New York.
